Allow forwarding of order email to input a tracking request
Use case is that a user gets an order email with a tracking number.
Instead of having to copy/paste the number in a tweet or website, the user just fowards the email to "new@usetrackthis.com".
TrackThis knows the inbound email address and uses the preset preferences for tracking (RSS, tweets, email, etc) set by the user.
This is how TripIt.com works (http://bit.ly/nWGl).

Integration with Google Maps
(packagemapping.com uses the Google Maps API very well to show the progress of a package.)
It'd be great to integrate the maps into the UI on the site, and even more convenient for the user to include a "screenshot" of the map in the RSS Feed or email.

I’m not inclined to add this, personally they always seemed kind of gimmicky. If you’ve got a good reason for using them please post a comment.

Add a way to link to an Amazon account.
Add a way to link this account to my Amazon (an possibly other accounts) to automatically check for new packages being sent and add them to the packages I'm tracking.

add a timestamp to the message
just have it in the body of tghe message.
This way we don't have to rely on the header to find out what time the package was delivered - say a mobile user had no reception.

Retain a package history
I'd love a way to look back at older packages weeks after they have been delivered. It is very nice to have a master list of all your incoming and outgoing packages so that you have a record.
The entire transit history probably isn't required, but being able to look back at the delivery dates would be great!

create an iGoogle/Gmail Gadget
It would be super-nifty if I could somehow add a Package for tracking straight from my Gmail.

track packages via Instant Messenging services.
Great service. I wonder if it would be possible to use IM (AOL, GoogleTalk, MSN, etc.) to get package tracking information.....

Add carrier: Purolator
A Canadian shipping company. Probably the best Canada offers, would love to see it supported.

Add a sorting feature to the tracking page
It would be nice to be able to sort the packages being tracked by description or tracking number so they aren't in a different spot on the page every time I visit.

Add carrier: Chronopost International for France
http://www.us.chronopost.com/web/en/
This would allow us to track packages sent via the national post service.

Offer a manual "Get" to update status
Status updates are far behind the Carrier's website data. The app shows the last update 8 hours ago, then I "view carriers tracking page", and see that new updated info exists?
